Up For Breakfast

They are quite an ideal breakfast place for just a few dollars per meal. Plates are flavorful and plentyful. Crêpes were done a tad crispy on the edges giving a bit more taste to the meal and I was also served a fresh juice that gave a lot of energy to start the day.

Just like the name, this is the place for breakfast in downtown Manchester VT. Located on the 2nd floor of the building, this pretty eatery is small and cozy. They have the best pancake I've ever tasted. Excellent food, great service!

Cute breakfast place with great food options and good coffee. There was a bit of a wait when we got there on Sunday but it was to be expected and we got seated quicker than they said. Def coming back!!

Went here for the first time on Saturday morning and my goodness, their Morning Glory pancakes, whoa!! The restaurant itself is cozy and there are many options to choose from. I highly recommend!

Found this place by accident last year. Ten of us for breakfast and the place was small and already very busy. They handled it with no issues and spectacular food and service. The best part and sadly lacking at many breakfast places is that the food arrives HOT at the table. This past Father's Day we drove the 90 minutes from New York to Vermont and had another GREAT breakfast. Well worth the drive and the cost.

I went, spent a december bday weekend and we ate here twice. I can’t remember what I ate. But I remember it was good. Will come again.

Excellent breakfast spot in downtown Manchester. Definitely want to get there before 9ish in peak season as it can fill up fast! Awesome selection of local meats and produce, breakfast that will keep you from need lunch.

We had Eggs Scandinavia and the quiche of the day, which had bacon, crab, and Vermont cheddar in a potato crust. Delicious! Tables are very close together, but that's part of the charm. Took a freshly baked scone with us for the road.

Just passing through the area and found this place for breakfast, the staff was friendly, the food was amazing! My picky eating kids all loved their breakfast. Not a crumb left on the plates! Huge portions, local ingredients, with a dash of charm you’d expect in Vermont. A++

Delicious, locally sourced, freshly made breakfast. There was a wait. Service caters to the next customer, was explicitly asked to finish food so the next customer could be seated.

Those wonderful pancakes were definitely worth the detour! Hubby went for the wild turkey hash brown and did not like it as much as expected however I tasted his dish and loved it as well. We went on a Monday so there was no wait. Service was great, ambiance was perfect for the first meal of the day. Highly recommended!

The way I describe this place is honest great breakfasts. The hungry hiker does just that, it sets you up with enough energy for a hike or a full day of shopping. Make sure to try the blueberry pancakes and cover it with that delicious Vermont maple syrup yummy. When there is a wait you can always order a coffee to keep you warm on these cold days. Some complain that service is unfriendly I think you confuse it with efficient as they try to keep the tables moving without rushing you.

I tried a different breakfast spot this past weekend, just to change things around. And HUGE mistake. I will never go back again.

Such friendly staff here! Food was great! You can get a hearty or healthy breakfast here and no matter what it'll be great! It is a cash only please so be wary of that but everything is very reasonably priced. Felt like what I got was more than worth it for the price. Would recommend.

My friends and I were in the area for a wedding, and absolutely loved this place! It's a small sitting area, so there was a wait, but it was definitely worth it! Everything was fresh and delicious with excellent flavor combinations.

Excellent food, HUGE portions. The biggest issue, due to popularity, was the wait time. Very small waiting area, many people waiting. Be ready to sit outside, in the cold, even when you're there early, to get seating.

What a pleasant find this place was. Small inside so don't be surprised to wait for a spot. The corned beef omelet was fantastic. Lots of flavor. Very cozy inside.

A cozy cute place nestled in the downtown. We loved having our breakfast here. Being vegetarian and a vegan, the food was very flavorful and spiced perfectly. We had the freshly squeezed orange juice as well. They don't have vegan options on the menu but they did make me a sourdough toast with sauteed veggies. The pan roasted potatoes were fantastic!!!! This place is cash or check only. So make sure you have enough cash before you go!

we had a wonderful breakfast on my husbands 75th Birthday. The waitresses were wonderful. Trying to send a picture I took - mail came back. No receptacle for mail!!!!!!

If I could give Up For Breakfast ten stars I would! Small eatery on the second floor of a downtown building. Excellent breakfast- incredible hospitality - great coffee.all served with a side of hilarious sass. Love it! The Eggs vegetarian was phenomenal - venison blueberry sausage was a table favorite, as was the Scandinavian Eggs and Morning Glory pancakes. Favorite spot for breakfast in Manchester! And check out the sugar packets! Sea stories!

This was the best breakfast ever! Their pumpkin pancakes were so creamy and tender with perfect flavoring. Also had a seafood cake with a poached egg and hollandaise that was amazing. Be prepared for a wait to get in. I would kill for that pancake recipe!

The 4 stars is for the maple latte. Everything else is very average. This is a super popular place often with a wait outside. Cash only.

The food was delicious, and the service was OK. We had to wait awhile, but we did get a seat. There's not much room inside, so if you're planning on going be prepared to wait or get there early! The menu has plenty of options for everyone, and the food is all very fresh. The building could really use a carpenter as the floor is noticeably crooked, but I suppose it adds to the charm? I'm fairly certain it's the best place to go for breakfast in the area, but bring cash with you; they don't accept cards. There are quite a few places in the the Manchester main area that accept only cash, so I'd just recommend using cash for most everything while you're there; it just makes your whole experience a but smoother.

Fast, friendly service but the food was absolutely incredible. I ended up getting the special, zucchini and pineapple french toast with pears, blueberries and pecans. It wasn't just beautiful but insanely delicious. Highly HIGHLY recommended!

The food is no doubt very good, but the place is a bit small inside, so on a weekend morning you will have to wait outside. Must try would be their Maple latte, omlettes and their pancakes, too good!

Good afternoon. It didn't start off very well at first. I called to make sure Up for Breakfast was still opened and Also to make sure breakfast was still being served. We're not from around here, so we were not sure. I called and the person who answered the phone could use a telephone technique class. We decided to take our chances and I am glad we did. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful with the selections. Hopefully the owner[s] will read this. When we were acknowledged as we entered, I recognized her voice. Be nice lady because this world needs more nice people. Happy Sunday.

The entire space feels like one big kitchen, filled with roosters of all shapes and sizes, and each table situated with the vintage stained glass hanging lamp. Great breakfast food - cash only!

Incredible food, you will want to order eveything, just a little pricey for breakfast. I got the "hiker breakfast" and was not disappointed. Also the homemade jam is amazing, as well as the maple coffee.

Cramped seating arrangement but excellent food. Get there early on the weekends if you would like to avoid a wait. Good size portions and great service. Would come back if in town again

Great service, Staff and hostess were very accommodating and friendly. Maple latte was delicious and the food was quickly served and yummy! Be sure to arrive early as wait times can be long. But while you're waiting for your table, they ask if you'd like a cup of coffee! Looking forward to visiting again.

Great place for breakfast. Its really popular in the area. From 9 am till 11 am really busy. About an hour wait but its worth it.

Food was delicious! Really enjoyed it and the waitress was super awesome. My 6 year old had a good time here as well and ate all his food. He’s sometimes picky so that’s saying a lot. If I’m ever in this area again I’d definitely come here.

Excellent breakfast! Cool atmosphere! Small town "here ya go" type friendly service which actually makes it more appealing . I got the "hungry hiker" special which is basically everything but the kitchen sink! Loved every component! Best Blueberry Pancakes I've ever had!
